John David Crow is one of the greatest football players in Texas Longhorns history. He was a two-time All-American and won the Heisman Trophy in 1957. Crow helped lead the Longhorns to two national championships and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1976.

Crow was born in Port Arthur, Texas, in 1935. He was a standout athlete in high school and was recruited by several major colleges. He ultimately chose to attend the University of Texas, where he played for legendary coach Darrell Royal.

Crow was a versatile player who could play both offense and defense. He was a gifted runner and receiver, and he also played safety on defense. Crow was known for his speed, agility, and toughness.

In 1957, Crow had a breakout season. He led the nation in scoring and was named the Heisman Trophy winner. He also helped lead the Longhorns to their first national championship in 15 years.

Crow continued to play well in 1958 and 1959. He helped the Longhorns win another national championship in 1959. Crow was named an All-American both years.

After graduating from Texas, Crow played in the NFL for the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers. He retired from football in 1968.

Crow is considered one of the greatest players in Texas Longhorns history. He was a key member of two national championship teams and won the Heisman Trophy. Crow was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1976.
